Welcome to Love's! The Accounts Payables team is hiring a Supervisor of Accounts Payable to oversee and guide the daily operational activities of the accounts payable function. This role involves maintaining and reconciling the accounts payable ledger to verify charges and ensure accurate, timely payments.

Job Functions:

• Lead and support a team of AP clerks or specialists; assign tasks, review work, and ensure deadlines are met.
• Ensuring timely and accurate processing of invoices.
• Managing vendor relationships.
• Performing accounts payable analysis and reporting.
• Track the movement of invoices received by the Payables department and gain a clear understanding of the various approval pathways each invoice follows during processing.
• Review and ensure invoices are coded correctly and move them through the approval process.
• Research vendor questions and research historical vendor documents through all Payables processing systems.
• Reconcile statements and ensure that vendor accounts are handled in a way that will ensure efficient and proper payment.
• Work with internal teams as well as IT department to coordinate projects and troubleshoot issues.
• Train, coach, and mentor team members in the AP role and documenting process.
• Effectively communicate with vendors.
• Ability to schedule and lead meetings with other departments to resolve issues and ensure effective communication.
• Ability to work with leaders in Payables Department to coach them on supervising skills and team management knowledge.
• Manage payables workflow and understand labor needs to make sure the Payables Dept is effectively staffed.
• Design and implement standard policies and procedures to ensure accurate compliant records.
• All other duties assigned.

Experience and Qualifications:

• HS Diploma or equivalent required.
• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field preferred.
• Experience in payables document processing.
• 5 years of related experience.

Skills:

• Hard Skills: Knowledge of Microsoft Office - Proficient in Excel; Experience with accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, SAP, Oracle) is a plus; Experience in SAP is required.
• Soft Skills: Oral and verbal communication skills; Keen attention to detail and team player; Conduct daily work without constant supervision.

Typical Physical Demands:

• Requires prolonged sitting, some bending and stooping.
• Occasional lifting up to 25 pounds.
• Manual dexterity sufficient to operate a computer keyboard and calculator.
• Requires normal range of hearing and vision.
