SUPERVISOR, MRI

POSITION SUMMARY:

Produces MRI images under the clinical supervision of a Radiologist. Provides a safe patient environment. Participates in other necessary activities in support of departmental operations.

EDUCATION, CREDENTIALS, TRAINING and EXPERIENCE:

Minimum Required:

• ARRT certified
• Completion of formal training program in MRI Technology
• Certified (ARRT-MRI) or obtained within 6 months
• BCLS certified

Preferred:

• Associate Degree in radiography

ADDITIONAL SPECIALIZED KNOWLEDGE/SKILLS:

Incumbent must demonstrate an ability to apply age-appropriate principles of communication and technical practice relevant to:

• Neonatal
• Infant
• Pediatric
• Adolescent
• Adult
• Geriatric patients

Incumbent must demonstrate competence in the use of equipment and application of procedures before being allowed to perform independently.
