    Description Higgins Construction Division based in Hamilton is looking for an experienced Supervisor to lead site crews and oversee day-to-day construction activities across our projects. This is a hands-on role where you will plan work, guide your team on site, and ensure jobs are delivered safely, efficiently, and to the required standard.

    You will work closely with project and operations managers, take ownership of site outcomes, and play a key role in supporting both your crew and the wider business.

    Key responsibilities include:

    • Plan and supervise daily and weekly site activities for assigned crews.
    • Lead toolbox talks, site inductions, and pre-start meetings.
    • Manage resources, plant, and materials to meet programme and productivity targets.
    • Take responsibility for health, safety, quality, and environmental controls on site.
    • Inspect work and sign off completed activities to specification.
    • Communicate clearly with crews, subcontractors, suppliers, and the public.

    What Youll Bring to the Role

    • Significant experience in road construction with time spent in a supervisory role.
    • Strong knowledge of site safety, quality, and environmental requirements.
    • Confidence planning work, solving problems, and making sound decisions on site.
    • Relevant licences such as WTR and Class 1 to 4.
    • Clear communication skills and a fair, respectful leadership style.
    • A practical, organised approach with pride in leading by example.
