This position oversees the daily operations of a Houston-based machine shop, ensuring safety, quality, delivery, and cost efficiency.
Responsibilities include planning, supervising, and communicating shop activities; maintaining safety policies; coaching staff; managing schedules and resources; approving time sheets; ensuring compliance with procedures; driving process improvements; supporting equipment maintenance and upgrades; participating in project meetings; and fostering open communication and a strong safety culture.
Qualifications require at least 5 years of machining experience with shop routing, 10 years of GD&T and assembly tolerancing expertise, and 5 years of Lean Manufacturing implementation. Knowledge of MS Word, Excel, and ERP systems is essential. Preferred qualifications include a bachelor’s degree and supervisory experience.
