Position Summary The Supervisor, Leave Management, Workers Compensation Employee Health provides operational supervision for all leave of absence administration, workers compensation, and employee occupational health programs for employees of Shore Medical Center. Core Job Duties and Responsibilities Responsible for the day-to-day management of leave of absence administration, workers compensation, and employee occupational health programs. Responsible for the proper administration of all leave of absences, workers compensation, and employee health programs for bargaining and non-bargaining employees. Evaluates and analyzes the results of the programs and services regularly reporting these results to senior leadership. Proactively advises leadership on strategies that align with the Medical Centers short- and long-term goals. Oversees the processes for NJ State Disability and Leave of Absence programs and required documentation for employees. Maintain strong working knowledge of all applicable federal, state, and local laws, ordinances, regulations, and reporting requirements, including HIPPA, OSHA, Leave of Absences, and Workers Compensation. Reviews and analyzes changes to state and federal laws. Ability to consult with Labor and Workers Compensation legal counsel when necessary. Manages workers compensation, occupational and employee health services. Develops strategies to maximize key business initiatives. Chairs quarterly workers compensation conferences to review open claims, petitions, reserves, and settlement authority. Assists in revisions to employee handbook related to workers compensation, leaves of absence, employee health and wellness, etc. Rolls out training for managers and staff on new policies. Incorporates employee wellness programs and initiatives; communicates effectively with employees. Oversees the new hire process related to employee health, physicals, drug testing, etc. Qualifications: 5 years experience in leave of absence administration and/or employee health administration Oracle HCM experience preferred Strong attention to detail and interpersonal skills Extensive knowledge of the leave requirements and other legal protections afforded by the FMLA, ADA, and other applicable laws preferred Excellent written and verbal communication skills Additional information To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.
