Role Overview

As a Supervisor - Lab Facility, you will lead laboratory operations, staff performance, and compliance efforts while ensuring high-quality diagnostic services and continuous operational improvement.

Key responsibilities include:

• Overseeing laboratory staff and daily departmental operations
• Hiring, onboarding, and scheduling staff to ensure appropriate coverage
• Conducting performance evaluations and coaching team members for growth and development
• Ensuring timely and accurate laboratory testing and result reporting
• Supporting staff competency, training, and validation processes
• Troubleshooting issues related to testing, equipment, and specimen handling
• Maintaining regulatory compliance and inspection readiness
• Enforcing laboratory safety standards and maintaining a safe work environment
• Driving continuous improvement initiatives to enhance efficiency and quality
• Assisting with expense processing and departmental operations
• Supporting leadership priorities and performing additional duties as assigned

Qualifications

Education

Required:

• Bachelor's degree in Biological Science OR a related Clinical Science field

Experience

Required:

• Four (4) years of clinical laboratory or related experience

Licensure / Certification

Required:

State of Florida Clinical Laboratory Supervisor License (Clinical Chemistry, Serology, and Microbiology)
