Job Responsibilities
Optimization of processes and plant equipment:
- Responsible for management of the shift in terms of staff, production, and quality targets to ensure smooth operations.
- Manage, develop, and motivate direct reporting staff.
- To ensure that training skills are met for current and future demands of the shift.
- To maintain housekeeping standards to ensure a clean and safe workplace.
Organization:
- Effectively use a computer for data entry, reporting and word processing.
- Ensure compliance with all safety and environmental rules and regulations.
- To play an active role in the Continues Improvement team.
Management:
- Communicate with all team members (maintenance and production) to ensure good two-way communication on all issues.
Job Requirements
- AA/AS or the equivalent combination of education and experience
- Minimum 5 years in a supervisory role.
- General pipe/tube finishing experience is preferred
- Understanding of data recording/acquisition systems such as IBA is preferred.
- Strong safety awareness and experience.
- Demonstrated capability of providing results through people, technology, and process.
- Basic SAP & general computer knowledge is required.
- Basic understanding of automated manufacturing processes.
- Be able to communicate and motivate coherently- both verbally and via written media.
- Understand principles of manufacturing.
- Able to work rotating shifts and extended hours on occasion when required.
