Founded in 1921, Straub Benioff Medical Center includes a 159-bed hospital in Honolulu, a network of neighborhood clinics and a visiting specialist program that reaches throughout the state of Hawaii. With over 200 physicians who are leaders in their fields, Straub provides its patients with diagnoses and treatments for more than 32 different medical specialties, including bone and joint, heart, cancer, endocrinology/diabetes, family medicine, gastroenterology, geriatric medicine, internal medicine, vascular and urology. Straub is home to the Pacific Region's only multidisciplinary burn treatment center. The hospital consistently brings new technologies and innovative medical practices to Hawaii, such as minimally invasive cardiac surgery and total joint replacement.
Our Food and Nutrition Services department provides quality nutritious meals to patients, visitors and staff while educating on the importance of healthy eating habits. We also work with medical staff to ensure accurate diet modifications for patients as needed. The department is responsible for performing a variety of general preparation and food service activities, including tray assembly and delivery, working in the cafeteria, cashiering, ware washing, assisting with pantry functions, nourishment activities and catering.
As the Supervisor, you will oversee the food production, assembly, delivery and sanitation activities of patient, staff, and a catered meal services. You are responsible for menu development and merchandizing to meet or exceed patient satisfaction standards and to ensure revenue projections in the cafeteria are met. In this role, you will assist in developing the departments operating budget and ensure food costs are within guidelines. You will develop and maintain your own culinary skills and those of the staff. You will assist with scheduling the time and attendance payroll system and department meetings.

Pay Range: 68,598 - 85,738 USD per year
Minimum Qualifications: Associates degree in Food Service, Food Science, or related field, or an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience. At least three (3) years of experience of institutional food service.
Preferred Qualifications: Certification in Food or dietary services from an accredited organization. Lead or supervisory experience in a hospital setting preferred. Ability to anticipate tasks and prioritize assignments.
