Job Summary

The Supervisor Facilities Maintenance organizes, coordinates, and oversees all activities and functions which are necessary to maintain the physical structures, mechanical and electrical systems, and grounds in a safe and operative working condition within the Plant Operations and Maintenance.

Pay Range

Minimum $74,506 Midpoint $98,717 Maximum $122,928

Rate of pay is determined by various factors, including but not limited to knowledge, skills, competencies, experience, education, as well as position requirements.

Experience

• Required: Minimum two (2) years of supervisory or lead experience. Five (5) years of related building maintenance experience with emphasis on maintenance, repair and semi-skilled craftsman of various building trades, including plumbing, electrical and painting.

• Preferred: Five (5) years of experience at a senior level in a hospital facilities department. Two (2) or more years experience supervising others.

Education

• Required: High School Diploma/ GED or equivalent.

• Preferred: Associate or bachelors degree in an engineering filed.

Training

• Required: Sound working knowledge of and ability to interpret technical schematics, CAD drawings, blueprints, and equipment manufacturer's technical information. Requires working knowledge of The Joint Commission Environment of Care codes, OSHA, OSHPD and NFPA Life Safety Code.

Specialized Skills

• Required: Ability to communicate effectively in English both verbal and written. Ability to build and establish positive relationships with stakeholders and staff at all levels. Experience managing multiple projects while maintaining exceptional customer service standards. Ability to set goals and judge results in accordance to the highest standards; care with sensitivity and respect; advance care through development of new ideas and technology; promote teamwork to achieve CHOC's mission; and understand and exceed customer expectations.

Licensure

• Required: None required.

Work Environments - Functional Demand:

Medium - High energy level Lift and carry 40-50 lbs. Push/pull +/- 150-200 lbs. (Patients on bed, stretcher) Lateral transfer 150-200 lbs. (ie. Patient) .
