Responsibilities:

How will you make an impact?  

 

The Supervisor, Envoy Drug and Alcohol Program reports to the Manager, Envoy Drug and Alcohol Program and leads a team responsible for maintaining company and DOT testing standards across all workgroups; and provide data analytics and assistance to company managers responsible for sending applicants and team members for drug and/or alcohol testing.

 

Responsibilities

  • Responsible for leading a team tasked with the delivery of testing requirements across all work groups
  • Assist Drug and Alcohol manager to assure compliance with applicable DOT and Company Drug & Alcohol testing requirements
  • Daily coordination with Third Party Administrator (TPA), Medical Review Officer (MRO), FAA, and other agencies when applicable
  • Maintaining status as backup Designated Employer Representative (DER for the company)
  • Oversees the administration of company’s drug and alcohol testing program, including tracking, data analysis, and preparation of required reports, including those for audits
  • Coordinates the activities of associated personnel and several vendors to ensure timely completion of testing
  • Leads and coordinates the activities of the team/leadership
  • Initiates or suggests plans to motivate workers to achieve work goals
  • Create new and maintain current standard operating procedures and internal documentation
  • Serves as a primary point of contact for after-hours drug and alcohol testing emergencies; Ensures compliance with DOT/FAA regulations including but not limited to post-accident and reasonable suspicion events, operational disruptions and regulatory inquiries

Requirements

  • Minimum 2 years of experience managing direct reports, including responsibility for coaching, performance management, workload prioritization, and team development

  • Demonstrated experience leading, coaching, and motivating a team to meet operational, compliance, and performance goals

  • Proven ability to manage workload distribution, prioritize tasks, and ensure accountability across a team environment

  • Strong aptitude for problem solving and sound decision-making in time sensitive and high impact situations

  • In depth knowledge of FAA and DOT Drug and Alcohol testing regulations, including but not limited to 14 CFR Part 121 and 49 CFR Part 40

  • Experience interpreting regulatory requirements and applying them consistently across all workgroups while balancing operational needs

  • Ability to guide and support managers and frontline leadership on regulatory compliance, reasonable suspicion and post-accident testing requirements

  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to concisely present data, trends, and compliance findings to leadership

  • Finance, accounting, or computer science background needed to support analytical and reporting functions

  • College degree preferred

  • Familiarity with company rules, regulations, and conditions that may conflict with standard company procedures, and the ability to navigate those conflicts effectively

  • Strong organizational, planning, and documentation skills, including SOP development and maintenance

  • Knowledge of Windows Office applications, including Word, PowerPoint, and Excel (VLOOKUP, formulas, and data analysis proficiency required)

  • Ability to work collaboratively with internal stakeholders, external vendors, TPAs, MROs, and regulatory agencies

  • May require travel

  • Must be able to read, write, fluently speak, and understand the English language

  • Must fulfill FAA criminal background checks to qualify for unescorted access privileges to airport security identification display areas (SIDA), if applicable

  • Must be able to obtain and maintain appropriate airport authority and/or U.S. Customs security badges, if applicable
