Job Summary:

Work Schedule: Full time, Mon - Fri; some after hours as necessary

Responsible for providing clinical oversight and leadership to a team of behavioral health professionals. Involves individual and group supervision, ensuring the delivery of high quality, evidence-based care to patients/clients/members while maintaining a positive and supportive work environment.

Responsibilities:

Essential Functions

Clinical Supervision and Leadership (50%)

  • Hire, schedule and train mental health professionals

  • Coach, conduct performance reviews, provide feedback, and address any performance or productivity issues.

  • Supervise provisionally licensed clinicians, as well as college interns (as applicable) in compliance with requirements and regulations

  • Oversee clinical service delivery, including intake assessments, treatment planning, discharge planning and referrals.

  • Review and discuss complex cases to assist in decision-making and problem-solving.

  • Identify training needs of staff and develop and/or implement training programs to enhance skills and knowledge.

  • Ensure adherence to clinical procedures, guidelines and best practices.

  • Monitor client outcomes and satisfaction.

  • Oversee clinician productivity and efficiency.

  • Serve as primary point of contact for patient/client clinical issues.

  • Demonstrate ongoing personal and professional growth for self and team.

Quality Assurance (30%)

  • Monitor the quality of clinical services delivered by the team, ensuring adherence to ethical standards, professional practices, and evidence-based treatment modalities.

  • Review clinical documentation to assess accuracy, completeness and timeliness

  • Identify and mitigate potential risks to clients and staff.

  • Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements, accreditation standards and department policies and procedures.

  • Trouble-shoot/problem-solve operational procedures for efficient service delivery.

Collaboration and Outreach (10%)

  • Collaborate with other stakeholders including medical professionals, psychiatrists, case managers, school personnel or employers

  • Participate in outreach activities to raise awareness of services and connect with potential clients or customers.

  • Provide consultation, training and education to clients, employers and other stakeholders on mental health and wellbeing issues.

Clinical Services (10%)

  • Provide direct clinical services/therapy as needed.

  • Provide crisis intervention including group or individual support as needed.

Job Requirements

Education

  • Masters degree in counseling, psychology, social work, or related field

Experience

  • 5 years of experience working in a mental health setting

  • Supervisory experience preferred

License/Certifications

  • Nebraska Licensed Mental Health Practitioner (LMHP) in good standing required

  • Nebraska Licensed Independent Mental Health Practitioner (LIMHP) preferred

Skills/Knowledge/Abilities

  • Clinical expertise

  • Mental health disorders, diagnostic criteria, and treatment modalities

  • Proficiency in evidence-based practices and therapeutic interventions

  • Strong clinical judgement and decision-making skills

  • Mental health law and ethics (federal and state laws and regulations)
