Tesla's Asset Technician Semi Service Supervisors are the leaders of our Service Center floor teams. In this role, you will be responsible for leading an engaged team of technicians while delivering an exceptional service experience. The ideal candidate for this role is capable of driving excellent results and delivering operational efficiency in our service centers.

  • Provide effective supervision and coaching to technical employees, ensuring the achievement of required quality and service output goals

  • Act as the process leader for shop activities by systematically improving work standards with input from service technicians and the service center team

  • Manage smooth workflow through the service center and maintain shop records and inventories

  • Collaborate with the Semi Service Manager and key stakeholders to establish targets for quality, speed, and cost aligned with customer and business needs

  • Ensure current and accurate work standards and engineering procedures, maintaining compliance for maximum quality

  • Monitor employee compliance with safety regulations and the service center's safety program

  • Conduct regularly scheduled one-on-one developmental meetings with team members to facilitate their professional growth while monitoring and coordinating training needs in partnership with Training Team

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent professional experience

  • Prior leadership experience in a service-focused industry preferred; automotive experience is required

  • Able to manage multiple tasks with competing priorities, establish and achieve goals, and meet deadlines

  • Ability to lead group root-cause problem-solving activities and rapidly develop countermeasures

  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills; able to effectively interact with customers as required

  • Able to work a flexible schedule, including weekday and weekend overtime

  • Foundational computer skills, experience with Microsoft Office required
