POSITION SUMMARY
Second Shift Supervisor position at RBC AeroStructures has various responsibilities such as performance of employees, safety precautions in the facility, and ensuring product is being expedited through the plant according to the direction of Production Control. The Supervisor will ensure that all employees adhere to the standards set by the company as well as the state and federal bodies.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Ensure that work in the facility takes place as per company guidelines
Ensure that all employees perform safely and efficiently using labor multiples when available
Assist Plant Manager in various production related duties
Keep tabs on the raw materials procured, final goods produced and finances involved
Assist with recording usage and disposal of tooling, preassembling tooling kits prior to the need date, maintaining fixtures and scheduling preventive maintenance as needed
Ensure new employees are trained in safety, performance, and all is documented
Ensure all employees are aware of safety procedures in emergency situations
Work with quality and engineering to reduce scrap and ensure product is moved in a timely manner
Work with maintenance manager to ensure that all machinery is working order
Ensure that the production, sales, and earned hour targets of the company are met
Relay any requirements in the shop, to enhance productivity, to management
Identify and expedite parts to be produced on each process daily and display on tracking boards located at all process areas and electronic displays
May have to undertake other duties as required
JOB REQUIREMENTS
Must be able to stand, walk (on concrete surfaces), bend, kneel, crouch, twist, and lift to perform repetitive movements
Must be able to lift/push/pull objects up to 35 pounds, heavier objects require assistance
Ability to adhere to safety policies
Must have working command of the English language and be able to communicate orally and in writing (basic oral instructions, simple written memos and instructions)
Excellent leadership and communication skills
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
High School Diploma or GED Required
Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in related field a plus
Previous Team Lead or Supervisor Experience
CNC Machining and/or tool inventory and management experience a plus
10 plus years Manufacturing Experience preferred
