Job Title: Supervising Psychiatric Social Worker I, CF- Kern Valley State Prison (KVSP) Job Type: 12 Month Limited Term - Full Time Facility: Kern Valley State Prison Department Information: Vision: We enhance public safety and promote successful community reintegration through education, treatment and active participation in rehabilitative and restorative justice programs. Mission: To facilitate the successful reintegration of the individuals in our care back to their communities equipped with the tools to be drug-free, healthy, and employable members of society by providing education, treatment, rehabilitative, and restorative justice programs, all in a safe and humane environment.

Job Summary: This is a limited term position which may be extended or become permanent. Recruitment and Retention Bonus may be available for clinicians newly hired with California Correctional Health Care Services.

Eligibility: Individuals who are currently in the classification, eligible for lateral transfer, eligible for reinstatement, have list or LEAP eligibility, are in the process of obtaining list eligibility, or have SROA and/or Surplus eligibility (please attach your letter, if available). SROA and Surplus candidates are given priority; therefore, individuals with other eligibility may be considered in the event no SROA or Surplus candidates apply.

  • Education: If using academic education above the twelfth grade to meet minimum qualifications, include a copy of your degree and/or Informal (Unofficial) School Transcripts
  • Out of Class: If using Out of Class (OOC) experience to meet minimum qualifications a copy of the approved OOC Completion Memorandum certifying your OOC experience shall be attached to the application
