ABOUT THE POSITION
The City of Redwood City, Engineering and Transportation Department announces an opportunity for the position of SUPERVISING CIVIL ENGINEER. The Supervising Civil Engineer works under general direction of the Engineering and Transportation Director/City Engineer. This position is responsible for planning and overseeing the work of the Capital Improvement Program (utilities, parks/special projects for building facilities, and creek/channel/levee improvements) and inspection services and supervising and participating in design, construction, and support services. In addition, the Supervising Civil Engineer provides technical staff assistance in the review of agreements and other engineering functions. The Supervising Civil Engineer may be required to fulfill the duties of the City Engineer, in the City Engineer's absence.
