Austin Construction Group is seeking an experienced and motivated Construction Superintendent to oversee commercial construction projects throughout the Tampa area. The ideal candidate is a strong leader with the ability to manage jobsite operations, coordinate subcontractors, and deliver projects safely, efficiently, and on schedule.
Responsibilities
- Manage day-to-day field operations on commercial construction projects
- Coordinate subcontractors, vendors, inspections, and deliveries
- Maintain project schedules and ensure work progresses on time
- Enforce jobsite safety standards and company policies
- Conduct quality control inspections and ensure workmanship meets project specifications
- Communicate effectively with project managers, clients, architects, and inspectors
- Review construction drawings and resolve field-related issues
- Maintain daily reports, schedules, and project documentation
- Ensure projects remain clean, organized, and OSHA compliant
Qualifications
- Experience as a Construction Superintendent in commercial construction
- Strong understanding of construction methods, scheduling, and sequencing
- Ability to read and interpret construction plans and specifications
- Knowledge of building codes and safety regulations
- Excellent leadership and communication skills
- Ability to manage multiple subcontractors and maintain project momentum
- OSHA certification preferred
- Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation required
