An established, employee‑owned general contractor with a long-standing regional presence is seeking an experienced Superintendent to lead the delivery of multiple upcoming projects across education, municipal, healthcare and site development sectors. Client Details

About the Client

Our client is a well‑established, employee‑owned general contractor with a strong reputation for delivering high‑quality commercial and public‑sector projects across the region. The business is known for its exceptional tenure, with many field leaders spending decades with the company, and for maintaining a down‑to‑earth, field‑first culture despite its scale. With a solid pipeline of education, municipal, healthcare and site development work now moving forward, the organisation offers long‑term stability, consistent project flow, and the chance to work for a contractor that genuinely values experienced Superintendents.

Description

Key Responsibilities

As the Superintendent, you will report directly to senior field leadership and take full ownership of on‑site delivery across one or more projects.
  • Lead day‑to‑day site operations from mobilisation through close‑out
  • Coordinate subcontractors, suppliers, and self‑perform crews to maintain schedule and quality
  • Own short‑term planning, including three‑week look‑ahead schedules
  • Enforce site safety, quality standards, and best practices
  • Partner with Project Managers on master schedules, sequencing, and problem‑solving
  • Act as the primary on‑site representative, maintaining a proactive, hands‑on presence
  • Drive productivity while fostering a collaborative, down‑to‑earth site culture

Profile

The Successful Applicant

For the Superintendent role, we are seeking:
  • Proven experience as a Superintendent or Senior Superintendent within commercial construction
  • Background delivering a variety of project types such as education, municipal, healthcare, retail, or site development
  • Strong job tenure and a track record of seeing projects through from start to finish
  • Hands‑on field leadership style - visible on site rather than office‑based
  • Working knowledge of Procore and Microsoft Project
  • Practical construction background preferred (trade or field‑led progression highly valued)
  • Local or regional experience strongly preferred due to project footprint

Job Offer

What's on Offer

  • Competitive base salary in the range of $85,000-$137,000, dependent on experience
  • Company vehicle or allowance (based on superintendent level)
  • Employee‑owned structure with an Employee Stock Ownership Plan
  • Comprehensive benefits package including healthcare and retirement contributions
  • Generous paid time off and paid holidays from day one
  • Merit‑based annual reviews and multiple superintendent career levels
  • Long‑term stability with a contractor known for retaining talent over decades
