Job Details

Lead Superintendent

We are seeking a Lead Superintendent to join a growing commercial construction team delivering projects across the Cincinnati area.


Responsibilities
  • Oversee all on-site field operations from groundbreaking through project closeout on commercial construction projects ranging from $5 million to $25 million
  • Lead, manage, and hold accountable subcontractors, crews, and field staff to ensure quality, safety, and schedule adherence
  • Serve as the primary point of accountability on the jobsite - owning project outcomes from a people, schedule, and quality standpoint
  • Maintain and drive project schedules using look-ahead planning and proactive problem solving
  • Coordinate with project managers, owners, architects, engineers, and inspectors throughout all phases of construction
  • Conduct daily site walks, maintain job logs, document field conditions, and track RFIs, submittals, and punch lists
  • Enforce OSHA safety standards and foster a culture of safety across all trades on site
  • Manage material deliveries, equipment, and site logistics to maintain an organized and efficient jobsite
  • Mentor and develop field staff, setting clear expectations and leading by example

Qualifications
  • 5 to 20 or more years of commercial construction superintendent experience
  • Proven track record managing projects in the $5 million to $25 million range
  • Strong understanding that a superintendent is simultaneously a manager, leader, team member, and the primary driver of project success
  • Exceptional communication skills with the ability to lead crews and collaborate effectively with ownership, design teams, and clients
  • Self-starter with the ability to anticipate problems, take initiative, and drive solutions without being directed
  • Ability to read and interpret construction drawings, specifications, and contract documents
  • OSHA 30 certification preferred
  • Proficiency with construction management and scheduling software preferred
  • Valid driver's license required
