    Construction Superintendent

    Our construction clients, based on the north side of Indianapolis, are looking for Superintendents to manage ground-up commercial construction projects. One firm handles projects ranging from $3M to $15M, while the other focuses on projects $20M and above. These roles will be responsible for overseeing and coordinating all on-site construction activities.

    Construction Superintendent Requirements
    • Bachelors degree in a construction management with 3+ years of commercial construction or related field preferred or 6+ years of Superintendent / Field experience without a degree.
    • Strong knowledge of construction methods, techniques, and best practices.
    • Excellent leadership, organizational, and communication skills.
    • Ability to read and interpret construction plans, drawings, and specifications.
    • OSHA 30 certification or other relevant certifications preferred.

    Construction Superintendent Responsibilities

    • Coordinate and supervise all construction activities and staff.
    • Set up and maintain an organized and clean job site, including the construction office/trailer.
    • Direct all field personnel to achieve completion of the project on schedule, within budget, with quality workmanship that conforms to original and edited plans and specifications.
    • Prepare and maintain construction schedule, identify, and solve problems that may impede schedule and/or costs.
    • Order materials, manage lead times to maintain schedule, and schedule inspections as necessary throughout the process.
    • Comply with the objectives of the OSHA Safety and Loss Control Program.
    • Promote and ensure job site safety, encourage safe work practices, and rectify job site hazards immediately. Conduct weekly Tool Box Talks.
    • Maintain weekly schedule meeting with vendors and subcontractors to project the upcoming three weeks expectations.

    Experience:

    • Ground-up Higher Education: 1 year (Preferred)
    • Ground-up k-12 construction: 1 year (Preferred)
    • Ground-up medical office or commercial office: 1 year (Preferred)
    • healthcare construction (ground-up): 1 year (Preferred)
    • concrete parking garage: 1 year (Preferred)
    • structural steel ground-up: 2 years (Preferred)
    • commercial structural concrete: 1 year (Preferred)
    • ground-up commercial construction in excess of $5M minimum: 4 years (Required)
    • multifamily / senior living / hotel ground-up: 1 year (Preferred)

    License/Certification:

    • Driver's License (Required)
