We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Permanent Superintendent to join our dynamic construction team. This is an exceptional opportunity for an individual who has a proven track record in managing construction projects from inception to completion. As a Permanent Superintendent, you will be responsible for overseeing all stages of project life cycle, including design, scheduling, budgeting, construction planning, and safety management.

Job Details

Responsibilities:

  • Oversee all aspects of construction project from planning to implementation
  • Allocate resources for assigned projects
  • Supervise onsite personnel and subcontractors
  • Interface with project inspectors, contractors, architects, engineers, city and county officials, and clients
  • Negotiate with contractors to receive reasonable order costs
  • Maintain high standards of workmanship that adhere to original plans and specifications
  • Prepare internal and external reports pertaining to job status
  • Plan ahead to prevent problems and resolve any emerging ones
  • Analyze, manage and mitigate risks
  • Ensure quality construction standards and the use of proper construction techniques

Qualifications:
  • Proven working experience in construction management for 5+ years
  • Advanced knowledge of construction management processes, means and methods
  • Expertise in building products, construction details and relevant rules, regulations and quality standards
  • Understanding of all facets of the construction process
  • Familiarity with construction management software packages
  • Ability to plan and see the “big picture”
  • Competent in conflict and crisis management
  • Excellent time and project management skills
  • BS degree in construction management, architecture, engineering or related field is a plus
  • Proficient in interpreting and using blueprints, schematics, and construction documents
  • In-depth understanding of construction procedures and material and project management principles
  • Familiarity with quality and health and safety standards
  • Good knowledge of MS Office
  • Familiarity with construction/ project management software
  • Outstanding communication and negotiation skills
  • Excellent organizational and time-management skills
  • A team player with leadership abilities
  • PMP or equivalent certification would be considered an advantage
