Job Summary
The University of Michigan SuperAging Program is seeking a full-time Research Assistant for a federally funded longitudinal research project involving the study of successful cognitive aging in older adults.
The SuperAging Program at the University of Michigan is part of a larger multisite observational study investigating successful cognitive aging. This study has a particular focus on recruitment of historically underrepresented populations. The SuperAging Program is seeking a highly motivated, organized individual with excellent record-keeping skills to work in a semi-independent manner to accurately and efficiently carry out a range of tasks associated with the study. Primary job duties include: (1) administer and score cognitive and behavioral test measures, (2) facilitate study visits, (3) enter data into an electronic database, (4) maintain detailed study records, and (4) effectively collaborate with the study?s coordinating center and local Michigan Alzheimer?s Disease Center. Other duties include transporting/leading participants between U-M research sites in U-M leased vehicles, and handle other scientific administration and clerical activities as directed to support the research project. This position will necessitate travel between the University of Michigan Ann Arbor and Detroit research sites to facilitate recruitment.

Work Schedule
Hours are 40 per week, Monday - Friday from 8 AM - 4:30 PM

This position will be primarily located out of our office in Ann Arbor, MI, and will require occasional travel to our location in Detroit, MI
Additional Information
This is a two-year term-limited appointment. At the end of the stated term, your appointment will terminate and will not be eligible for Reduction-in-Force (RIF) benefits. This term-limited appointment does not create a contract or guarantee of employment for any period of time as you will remain subject to disciplinary or other performance measures, up to and including termination, at the will of the University in accordance with existing University policy and standards for employee performance and conduct.
Background Screening
Michigan Medicine conducts background screening and pre-employment drug testing on job candidates upon acceptance of a contingent job offer and may use a third-party administrator to conduct background screenings. Background screenings are performed in compliance with the Fair Credit Report Act. Pre-employment drug testing applies to all selected candidates, including new or additional faculty and staff appointments, as well as transfers from other U-M campuses.
In addition to the screenings indicated above under Michigan law, a criminal history check including fingerprinting is required as a condition of transfer or employment for this position.
