At the present time, vacancies exist for Summer Student Support Specialists exist for MEP school-based campus in Chester County within the Migrant Education Program (MEP), Student Services Division of the CCIU. These positions will work with migrant children in the Chesco area. Duties and Responsibilities:

1. Implement Migrant Education Summer Program for preschool, elementary, and/or secondary migrant students in Philadelphia, Delaware, Montgomery, and Bucks Counties.
2. Facilitate reading, writing, speaking, and listening learning across the content areas with migrant students in a classroom setting.
3. Submit weekly lesson plans, implement curriculum as provided, and submit end-of-summer progress reports.
4. Provide regular communication with Migrant Education Program staff and families.
5. Attend summer in-service, family meetings, and weekly staff meetings.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's Degree in related field strongly preferred
• Bilingual speaking preferred (Spanish)
• Experience working with emerging multilingual students preferred
• Experience working with preschool, elementary students, and/or secondary school students required
• Experience working with immigrant or refugee children and families preferred
• Basic computer knowledge, required
• Must have Act 33 and 34 Clearances
• Must have Federal Criminal History record

Estimated Schedule:

Monday - Thursday, 6 hours/day (8:30 AM - 3:00 PM) Prep Day: June 15th Program Dates: June 23rd - July 31st

Hourly Rates (2025-2026 SY):

Project Band 13: $30.74 - $38.43/hr. Placement on scale commesurate with years of experience in a relevant position
