Hours: MondayFriday, 3 hours/day

Compensation: Hourly rate: Wk 1 $25.82 / W 2-4 $26.80

Overview:

Regional School District No.1 is seeking a dedicated and dependable Paraeducator to support the Summer School - Summer Fun program for elementary students. This temporary role is a great opportunity to make a positive impact on young learners during a short, focused instructional period.

Responsibilities:

  • Assist certified teachers with instruction, classroom management, and student supervision
  • Support students individually or in small groups as directed by the teacher
  • Foster a safe, inclusive, and respectful classroom environment
  • Help with the preparation of learning materials and classroom organization
  • Monitor student behavior and provide assistance as needed during transitions, meals, and activities

Qualifications:

  • Experience working with elementary-aged children preferred
  • High school diploma or equivalent required; associate's degree or higher preferred
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work collaboratively with staff and respond flexibly to student needs
  • Reliability and professionalism are essential

Additional Information:

The program runs for 4 weeks, with 3-hour instructional days held at Salisbury Central School. Assignments may include working with students requiring additional academic or behavioral support.
