We are seeking compassionate, energetic, and dependable individuals to join our Summer Program team as a Summer Program Children’s Advocate.

This temporary, on-site seasonal role provides nurturing care, support, and engaging activities for children ages 5–17 who are participating in our Summer Program, including children residing in shelter and those receiving non-residential services. • Support children who may display emotional or behavioral challenges related to trauma
  • Maintain a calm, safe, and supportive environment for children and families
  • Complete daily documentation and reports accurately and timely
  • Communicate concerns regarding child behaviors or family needs to supervisors
  • Assist Summer Program staff with field trips and special events
  • Collaborate with staff and volunteers to support program success
  • Perform additional duties as assigned to support agency operations

  • Ability to remain calm and professional in high-stress situations
  • Strong communication skills and ability to work respectfully with children, families, and staff
  • Must be CPR certified or willing to obtain certification within the first two weeks of employment

Preferred Qualifications

Staff may occasionally assist with lifting or supporting children and should be comfortable working in environments that may include loud or emotionally heightened situations. Summer activities may include outdoor programming with exposure to heat and sun.

Why Join Us?

This is an opportunity to make a meaningful impact in the lives of children during the summer months while working alongside a mission-driven team dedicated to healing, safety, and hope.
