Position: Summer Painter Needed - temporary/seasonal position
Schedule: Summer seasonal position (June - August 2026). Not to exceed a total of 100 hours. Monday to Friday, weekends as needed
Flexible daytime hours; full or part time based on project needs,
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
• Prepare surfaces for painting, including cleaning, sanding, scraping, patching, priming • Paint interior/exterior surfaces such as classrooms, hallways, offices, gyms, etc. • Assist with moving and protecting furniture, equipment, and fixtures prior to painting • Safely operate hand tools, ladders, and basic painting equipment • Follow all safety guidelines and district procedures, including proper use of PPE • Maintain a clean and organized work area • Perform other maintenance-related duties as assigned by the Facilities Supervisor
Qualifications:
• High school diploma or equivalent preferred • Previous painting or general maintenance experience is a plus, but not required • Criminal background check required • Health Physical required and pass a Mantoux Tuberculin test • Ability to take direction, work as a group, or independently, without continual supervision • Demonstrates strength and manual dexterity necessary to perform all required tasks including the ability to lift up to 50 lbs and climb ladders • Dependable, punctual, and safety-conscious
Compensation: $25-$35/hr. - based on experience; no benefits
