- Monday – Friday, 6:30 AM – 3:00 PM
Position Summary:
Assist with the maintenance of City traffic infrastructure in a safe, efficient, and professional manner. This position supports roadway operations, signage, and pavement marking to help ensure safe travel for the public.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform general labor tasks including traffic sign installation and repair, pavement marking, curb and street painting, and related roadway maintenance
- Assist with setup and removal of traffic control devices such as cones, barricades, and signage
- Operate, maintain, and properly store tools and equipment
- Follow all safety procedures and use appropriate personal protective equipment at all times
- Work safely in and around roadways and active traffic; follow traffic control plans and remain constantly aware of surroundings
- Communicate project progress and status to supervisors in a timely manner
- Interact with the public in a courteous and professional manner
- Complete assignments accurately and within established timelines
- Perform other related duties as assigned
Work Environment:
- Frequent exposure to outdoor weather conditions and temperature extremes
- Regular exposure to dust, noise, chemicals, fumes, and safety hazards
- Occasional work at heights and in confined or low-light spaces
- Work sites may vary and require accessibility across different locations
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to perform physically demanding labor for extended periods
- Frequent lifting and carrying of materials up to 75 lbs
- Ability to walk, stand, bend, kneel, and perform repetitive motions
- Good hand-eye coordination and manual dexterity
- Ability to maintain balance and body control in active work environments
