About the Job

Cityside Fiber is seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Summer Law Clerk to join our team. This is a unique opportunity to gain hands-on experience in telecommunications law, contracts, real estate, labor and employment, and regulatory compliance. The ideal candidate is a law student with a strong interest in telecommunications law or in learning how an in-house legal department manages growth and cutting-edge issues. This opportunity sits within Cityside Fiber's Legal Department, a team dedicated to supporting and protecting the organization's interests while ensuring legal compliance and risk management across all aspects of its operations. You will operate in a fast-moving and sometimes ambiguous environment and excel in hitting the Company's objectives. To be successful, you will have superior communication and organizational skills.

This is a temporary engagement not to exceed 10–12 weeks, working up to 24 hours per week, depending on candidate availability.

Responsibilities

• Understand Cityside Fiber's core purpose and values and be passionate about what we do.
• Conduct legal research on telecommunications, employment laws, regulations, and industry standards.
• Assist in drafting and reviewing contracts, agreements, and regulatory filings.
• Research and analyze complex legal issues.
• Support the legal team in preparing for regulatory proceedings, compliance audits, and licensing requirements.
• Assist with due diligence reviews and document management related to the organization's transactions and projects.
• Stay updated on developments in telecommunications law and industry trends.
• Prepare memoranda, presentations, and reports summarizing legal research findings.
• Work in and contribute to an atmosphere of trust and integrity with fellow employees to ensure the overall success of Cityside Fiber.

Qualifications

• Currently enrolled in an accredited law school program as a first- or second-year student.
• Coursework or experience in telecommunications law, technology law, employment law, real estate, or related fields preferred.
• Strong research, writing, and analytical skills.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills, with strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team.
• Prior internship or work experience in a legal setting is a plus.
• Understanding of telecommunications infrastructure and networking concepts a plus.
• High energy individual willing to be an integral part of a high-growth company that puts people first, dares to be different, and has fun disrupting an industry.
• Demonstrated highest level of integrity, intellectual honesty, and strong work ethic.

Compensation & Benefits

• $25.00/hr.
• Part-time, Temporary — Up to 20 hours per week
• Duration — 10–12 weeks maximum, depending on candidate and availability
• This is a non-benefits-eligible temporary position
