About Securin

Securin is an AI-native cybersecurity company. Our Preemptive Exposure Management Platform turns exposure data into clear decisions — giving organizations the confidence to know which risks are exploitable, what to fix first, and how to act before attackers do.

The Opportunity

We’re looking for a curious, creative, and digitally native intern to join our communications and marketing team. This is not a “watch and learn” internship—you’ll be doing real work that gets published, shared, and seen.

If you want something that actually stands out on your resume, this is it:

  • A fast-growing cybersecurity startup

  • Real-world content and campaign experience

  • Exposure to AI, national security, and emerging tech

What You’ll Do

Content & Social Media

  • Draft and schedule social posts (LinkedIn, X, etc.)

  • Turn complex cyber topics into clear, engaging content

  • Help develop campaigns around reports, announcements, and major moments

Trend Monitoring & Rapid Response

  • Track cybersecurity, AI, and global threat news

  • Flag emerging stories and help draft quick-turn responses.

Creative & Design (Canva + beyond)

  • Create social graphics, carousels, and visual assets

  • Assist with short-form video editing (clips, reels, etc.)

Communications Writing

  • Support blogs, press releases, and external materials

  • Translate technical insights into plain language

Campaign & Strategy Support

  • Track performance analytics to identify trends and improvements to guide content.

  • Help plan and execute content around launches, reports, and events.

  • Contribute ideas to help Securin stand out in a crowded cyber market

Why This Internship

  • Build a portfolio of real, published work (not practice assignments)

  • Work directly with senior leaders in cybersecurity and government

  • Gain experience in one of the fastest-growing, most important industries

  • Learn how communications and strategy actually work in a startup environment

And yes - this will look very good on your resume.

Requirements

What We’re Looking For

This posting is based out of Albuquerque, New Mexico. To be eligible for consideration, candidates must be local or within reasonable commuting distance to company HQ.

  • Strong writing skills with a clear, confident voice

  • Interest in cybersecurity, AI, tech, or national security

  • Comfortable with social media platforms and trends

  • Experience with Canva (or similar tools)

  • Bonus: video editing, content creation, or meme instincts

Culture-Forward Building with AI: What We Expect

Securin is committed to becoming an AI-native organization where GenAI is embedded into how every team works - not just as an occasional assistant, but as a core part of delivery, operations, and how our expertise compounds over time. We expect every employee to actively integrate GenAI tools into daily workflows - automating routine tasks, accelerating research and analysis, drafting documents, and building reusable AI-powered processes for their function. You should understand the limitations of GenAI (including inaccuracies and data sensitivity boundaries), follow data classification rules, and continuously improve your AI proficiency. As you grow, we expect you to move beyond using GenAI to building with it - designing agent workflows, contributing reusable skills, and helping Securin compound its Proactive Exposure Management expertise faster than any competitor can replicate.

  • Demonstrated ability to use GenAI tools (e.g., Claude, ChatGPT, etc.) for daily work - drafting, research, summarization, data analysis, code generation, or workflow automation as relevant to the role.

  • Working knowledge of GenAI limitations including hallucination risk, context window constraints, and data sensitivity boundaries; ability to validate AI-generated output before acting on it.

  • Familiarity with prompt engineering techniques - structuring multi-step instructions, providing context, and iterating on output quality to achieve production-grade results.

  • Comfort with Agentic AI workflows - using, designing, or building multi-step AI agents that execute tasks autonomously with human-in-the-loop validation.

  • Awareness of AI security fundamentals - prompt injection risks, data classification rules, sandboxed execution, and responsible handling of sensitive data in AI workflows.

  • Familiarity with connecting GenAI tools to internal data sources, APIs, and enterprise systems.

  • Ability to contribute reusable AI skills, templates, agent configurations, or automation workflows to a shared repository for team-wide use.

  • Willingness to learn and adopt new AI tools as they evolve; participation in AI adoption sprints, hackathons, and knowledge-sharing within the team.

Most importantly:

  • You’re curious

  • You move fast.

  • You’re willing to jump in and figure things out.
