Position Summary
The Salvation Army Noble Corps is committed to "Doing the Most Good" by providing holistic person-centered services to individuals and families. In addition to worship services and pastoral care, services include support with food, clothing, utilities, rent, securing housing, and both short- and long-term case management, as well as connections to community partners. The Summer Day Camp Counselor-in-Training (CIT) role is designed for youth ages 14-17 who are interested in developing leadership skills and gaining hands-on experience working with children. CITs assist Lead Counselors with camp activities, support camper engagement, and contribute to a fun, safe, and Christ-centered camp environment.

Education and Experience Must be at least 14 years old. Currently enrolled in or entering high school or a similar education program. Prior experience in youth programs, church activities, or camp environments - either as a participant or in a staff/volunteer role - is preferred.

Working Conditions Active and physical environment, primarily indoors with occasional outdoor activities. Requires standing, walking, bending, and participating in games or physical activities for extended periods. May involve lifting or carrying supplies up to 25 lbs. Noise level can be moderate to high depending on activity. Requires availability during program hours, which may include early mornings or late afternoons. On-site role not eligible for a remote-friendly work environment.
Supervisory Responsibilities None.
Travel Driving Requirements: Frequent travel by agency vehicle throughout the metro area to support the mission. No driving required.
