Summer Camp Head Counselor - Sports

Title Youth Sports Summer Camp Counselor

Employment Type: Seasonal Position Summary Orange Community Education & Recreation is seeking enthusiastic and responsible Youth Sports Summer Camp Counselors to support our summer camp programs. Counselors will work with children in grades K-2 or 3-7 providing supervision while leading engaging sports activities gym games and recreational programming.

This position plays an important role in creating a safe active and positive camp environment. Counselors will assist with supervising campers implementing daily activities and supporting overall camp operations throughout the summer season.

Minimum Qualifications

• High school graduate or high school junior/senior with prior camp counselor experience.
• Current CPR certification (certification opportunity available prior to the start of camp).
• Strong leadership, supervision, and group management skills.
• Knowledge of a variety of sports, gym games, and recreational activities.
• Ability to lead and engage children in active games and sports.
• Ability to pass a required background check.
