The Summer Camp Art Specialist is responsible for planning, leading, and supervising creative arts activities for campers K-8th grade, fostering self-expression and confidence through projects like drawing, painting, and crafts. They ensure a safe, inclusive environment, manage supplies, and adapt activities to individual needs. Key duties include developing curriculum, supervising members, maintaining safety, and collaborating with staff. The role requires strong artistic skills, patience, and the ability to motivate youth. The position is part-time, seasonal, working Monday to Friday from 9:00am-3:00pm, with training in June and availability from June 29 to August 21. Experience working with youth and youth development strategies are preferred. The role involves standing, lifting up to 50 lbs, and maintaining a positive team environment.
