OVERVIEW: Cabin Leaders live with campers during their week at camp, providing supervision, leading cabin activities and devotionals, and participating in all camp programs. They help meet campers' spiritual, emotional, and social needs while guiding them through experiences like hikes, games, swimming, and campfires, all with the goal of helping them grow in Christ.DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:Provide daily supervision and ensure camper health, safety, and a positive camp experienceEncourage camper participation in all scheduled activities and programsLead evening cabin devotions and plan cabin activities that support spiritual growthEstablish and enforce cabin rules that promote safety, respect, and communityRefer ongoing behavioral issues to the Unit LeaderConduct indoor activities during inclement weather with appropriate supervisionMaintain cabin cleanliness, including sleeping areas, bathrooms, and personal quartersParticipate in evening and special programsLead or assist with elective or emblem classesReport maintenance needs to the Facility Manager or Maintenance Crew ChiefSupervise assigned free-time activity areas and provide nighttime supervisionBuild relationships with campers to foster a meaningful and Christ-centered experienceModel Christ-like behavior in conduct, service, and interactionsReport suspected child abuse immediately to the Unit LeaderOther related duties as requiredAll staff may be called upon at any time to assist in the total operation of the camp.
