The Health Technician supports student health needs under the supervision of a school administrator and District Nurse. They document and maintain student health information in compliance with federal, state, and local requirements, and provide care or referrals for ill or injured students. Each of the 10 school sites has a dedicated Health Technician, with substitutes filling in when needed.
Requirements include a high school diploma or equivalent, at least one year of clerical experience involving public contact, and CPR/First Aid certification. Candidates must also pass a drug, alcohol, and tuberculin skin test, along with a fingerprint/background check.
