Under the supervision of the Program Administrator the Substitute Group Aide is responsible for assisting in the implementation of the after-school program.
WORK PERFORMED
- Assist in planning, preparing and implementing daily activities.
- Assist in assuring individual childcare plans are being followed adequately. Confer with Program Coordinator
immediately if concerns arise pertaining to a child's condition or needs.
- Assist in completion of necessary paperwork.
- Assist in food preparation, serving and clean-up.
- Clean indoor and outdoor equipment and supplies regularly; assist program participants in Activities of Daily Living
(ADL).
- Assist with program wherever else necessary as indicated by the Program Coordinator.
- Attend staff meetings, parent/staff conferences and any other training meetings deemed necessary by the Program
Coordinator.
- Perform other duties as assigned by Division Director or Designee
QUALIFICATIONS
- Must be at least 16 years old.
- Must have some experience working with children.
- Must have pre-employment medical exam and TB test.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
- Must be able to lift and or carry up to 25 pounds.
- Must be able to withstand prolonged periods of standing, frequent bending, stooping, reaching, pulling and pushing
