Job Description ---------------
Assess and evaluate dental hygiene students clinical skills during the following dental hygiene process of care procedures performed with their patients in the clinic:
Observe and provide feedback to students during clinical proficiencies on all dental hygiene skills. Exhibit knowledge of current technology in the practice of dental hygiene. Consult with students, fellow instructors, and patients as needed in the instructional process. Demonstrate professionalism and follow all policies and procedures for the Dental Hygiene Program Manual, which will be provided during the training period.
Attend and participate in calibration exercises, meetings for clinic instructors. Meet with the Dental Programs Director and Clinic Supervisor to review program and department procedures. Observe dental hygiene clinical instructors during patient care to attain understanding of clinic and educational procedures. Follow accreditation guidelines and procedures as designated by the CODA and Dental Programs Director.
