Reports ToBuilding PrinicpalJob GoalCreate a classroom environment that implements district approved curriculum to ensure an equitable engaging and positive learning experience for all students.Required QualificationsBABS degree and possess a Washington state Teaching Certificate or obtain an Emergency Substitute CertificatePerformance ResponsibilitiesMaintain a positive learning environment and respond to the individual needs of students.Implement effective learning lessons in the absence of the regular instructor.Ensure that district policy is observed during all activities.Create a safe classroom environment that is conducive to learning.Keep all children in the classroom under supervision at all times.Be familiar with fire exits and fire drill procedures.Review notes for the day take attendance and follow lesson plans of the teacher.Maintain confidentiality as defined by the Family Educational Rights and Privacy Act FERPA.Abide by state statutes school board policie and regulations as outlined and provided in the Substitute Handbook and other District provided guidance.Report for duty early and remain on duty for the entire assignment including the teachers planning time.Leave detailed notes for the teacher on any issues experienced during the day.Other duties as assigned by prinicpal.Terms of Employment Daily services for the current school year.
