DESCRIPTION
Madison School District is seeking a reliable and safety-focused Part-Time Substitute Bus Driver to provide transportation coverage when regular bus drivers are absent. This position plays a critical role in ensuring the safe and timely transportation of students.
QUALIFICATIONS
• High School diploma or equivalent • Clean driving record and background check • Ability to work effectively with staff, students, and parents • Strong commitment to safety and excellent driving skills • Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively and follow instructions • Ability to maintain composure and handle unexpected situations calmly • Punctuality and reliability are essential
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
• Safely operate a school bus, ensuring the well-being of students during transportation to and from school. • Adhere to all traffic laws and maintain a safe driving record. • Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the bus to ensure its safety and report any issues promptly. • Maintain a positive and respectful relationship with students, parents, and school staff. • Follow established routes and schedules, while also being flexible to accommodate any changes when necessary. • Other duties as assigned.
