Substation Physical DesignerDevelop physical substation design packages for new construction, expansion, upgrade, and retrofit projects. Create and revise detailed drawings including general arrangements (GA), equipment layouts, plan & elevation drawings, grounding layouts, conduit and cable trench layouts, structural steel and foundation drawings. Coordinate placement of transformers, breakers, disconnect switches, bus configurations, CTs, PTs, and other yard equipment. Translate engineering calculations and project requirements into construction-ready designs. Verify electrical clearances and ensure compliance with utility and industry standards. Coordinate with engineering, P&C, civil, structural, and construction teams throughout execution. Support QA/QC reviews and incorporate design updates throughout project lifecycle.
