Substation Engineer IIIOur client is a nationally recognized engineering and consulting organization supporting some of the largest utility, renewable energy, and grid modernization programs across North America. Their Power Delivery team partners with investor-owned utilities, municipalities, cooperatives, and EPC organizations to deliver complex transmission and substation infrastructure projects.Lead engineering and design execution for substation projects ranging from 12kV-500+ kV. Develop and review: General Arrangements (GA), electrical plans and elevations, equipment layouts, grounding plans, cable routing and conduit plans, control building layouts, Bills of Material (BOM). Perform engineering calculations including ground grid studies, equipment sizing and selection, cable sizing, bus calculations, station service design. Coordinate with civil, structural, relay/P&C, transmission, and construction teams. Support project planning, scheduling, budgeting, and execution. Participate in design reviews and client meetings. Review junior engineer deliverables and provide mentorship. Support construction and commissioning efforts as required.
