Job Description:

The Madison Public Schools is seeking qualified applicants for the position of Special Education Program Coordinator at the Daniel Hand High School commencing the 2026-2027 school year.

Requirements: Applicants must hold or be eligible to apply for a CT certification endorsed for Administration (092) and Special Education (165).

Responsibilities: The high school Special Education Program Coordinator responsibilities include:

  • Chairing PPTs
  • Providing professional development for special education teachers and support staff
  • Supervise and evaluate special education teachers and support staff
  • Case Manager for out-of-district high school special education
  • Assist in transitions to Grade 9 and post-graduation
  • Facilitate the writing of data-driven IEPs
  • Monitor all IEP timelines at the high school level
  • Work with the Director of Special Education to develop SPED programming.

Work Schedule: 10 month / 192 days

Salary: As per the provisions of the 2026-2027 salary schedule of the MEA contract, along with Program Coordinator Stipend.
