This position will support the major subcontract group. The major subcontract group is responsible for the procurement of engineered items which includes, but is not limited to: sensors, valves, motors, filters, and regulators for new and heritage programs primarily supporting NASA and the DoD. The selected candidate will be assigned a small group of suppliers and will support all phases of the procurement process from source selection and negotiations to post-award administration. Other duties include, but are not limited to: Performing various reviews/audits at a supplier's facility. Negotiating terms and conditions of purchase with the assistance of HS Counsel. Coordinating the resolution of supplier issues. Reviewing and understanding supplier-generated program schedules, and expediting orders to ensure on-time delivery of hardware and other deliverables. Completion of ad hoc reports for management. Limited domestic travel is required.
BA/BS required. MS/MBA a plus.
The ideal candidate will have at least 3 - 5 years of purchasing or contract administration experience preferably in support of U.S. Government contracts. Knowledge of FAR, DFAR, NFS and export control (ITAR & EAR) requirements is required. The ability to read and understand blueprints and other technical data is highly desirable. Experience working with sole/single source procurements is a plus.
The ideal candidate will be confortable working in a fast-paced environment. Excellent verbal and written communication skills is essential.
Education ¿ BA/BS required. MS/MBA a plus.
Yrs. of Experience ¿ 3 - 5 years minimum
Industry Experience ¿ Supply Chain and/or contracts experience.
Skill sets - Microsoft Office, JDE Edwards One World. SAP is a plus.
