    Description

    General Job Brief:

    The test proctor is responsible for maintaining and administering academic tests in the ACU Test Center. This role also requires a comprehensive understanding of and commitment to the unique Christian mission and vision of ACU to Transform Culture with Truth, and the ability to advance that mission and vision through the performance of its duties, including person-to-person mentorship and discipleship.

    Primary Duties:

    • Attend all assigned shifts
    • Greet and check students in for tests
    • Schedule testing appointments for students
    • Proctor tests on paper or in a digital format
    • Protect the integrity of testing materials and the confidentiality of examinees and staff
    • Maintain test files for faculty; assure security of testing materials, including passwords for online tests
    • Maintain the testing facility in an appropriate manner and immediately notify supervisor of any problems with space or equipment
    • Follow FERPA policies and keep student grades and academic progress confidential
    • Be direct and kind with students and possess good interpersonal communication skills

    Other Duties and Responsibilities:

    • Complete FERPA online training and produce a certificate of completion to supervisor prior to start date
    • Communicate regularly with test center supervisor
    • Log and report general student usage of the testing center
    • Communicate with faculty who are using the test center to proctor student exams
    • Input time worked into UKG for compensation purposes
    • Conduct oneself with utmost integrity and professionalism
    • Completing other duties and tasks with utmost integrity and professionalism, as directed, and not necessarily mentioned in this description, will be expected.
    • Commitment to the University's faith statement, mission, and purposes; and an active Christian faith.
    • Comfort and familiarity with the practice of praying with and for others, including students, faculty, and fellow University staff.
    • The ability to meaningfully support and encourage students, faculty, and staff from a biblical worldview perspective, using relevant and applicable references from the Old and New Testaments and orthodox Christian writings.
    • Demonstrated alignment with and enthusiastic support for the Christian Mission and Core Commitments of the University, including signing the University's Statement of Faith and Core Commitments annually.

    Qualifications:

    • Personal relationship with Jesus Christ as well as a commitment to ACU's Statement of Faith and Core values
    • Must be currently enrolled as a student at ACU
    • Possess good interpersonal communication skills
    • Available to work up to ten hours per week
    • Current student of ACU in good standing - SAP
    • Must complete a current FAFSA for consideration
