BASIC FUNCTION:
Under the direction of the area administrator, Student Success Support Program (SSSP) Specialist is responsible for assisting in support related programs, components and activities; assists in the planning, coordination, implementation and delivery of support programs and services associated with the college plans, including the college Student Success and Support Program (SSSP) plan; assists in planning and coordinating of SSSP MIS reporting, follow-up and retention activities for at-risk students including those on probation and dismissal.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
Any combination equivalent to: a Bachelor's Degree in a related field and two years of experience in student services on a college campus or in a community agency that provides comparable services to students, or diverse community members.

The Student Success Support Program (SSSP) Specialist (Mental Health) supports initiatives that enhance student well‑being, personal development, and academic progress through mental‑health‑centered services and programming. This role provides culturally responsive wellness outreach, coordinates targeted support for students experiencing mental health challenges, and collaborates with campus departments to strengthen student resilience, engagement, and overall success. The Specialist assists with early‑intervention strategies, resource navigation, and community‑building efforts that promote healthy pathways toward academic achievement and personal growth. This position plays a key role in fostering a supportive campus environment where students can thrive emotionally and academically.
