The Office of Community Empowerment (OCE) Student Success Coach provides programmatic support to student engagement initiatives within the College of Education. The Student Success Coach oversees the Apple Core Initiative (ACI) by coordinating program activities, student engagement efforts, and outreach events. ACI is a flagship OCE program that recruits high school students from high-poverty and rural communities into teacher education programs at the University of South Carolina. This role assists the OCE in delivering student-centered programming and outreach efforts that contribute to the College's mission of expanding access to educational opportunities. The Student Success Coach facilitates communication with internal and external partners and provides support to prospective and current students through coaching, orientation, and participation in OCE-sponsored initiatives.
