Pay Range: Targeted salary $15.86 per hour, based on experience

Position Introduction:

The Department of Health and Exercise Science is one of the largest interdisciplinary programs in the Dodge Family College of Arts and Sciences, offering nationally recognized undergraduate and graduate programs in exercise physiology, health promotion, sports data analytics, and related fields.

The Student Services Specialist provides comprehensive administrative and operational support for the department's graduate program and daily office operations. Serving as the primary point of contact for faculty, staff, students, and visitors, this position coordinates departmental communications, scheduling, events, records management, and administrative processes that support the department's academic mission.

Primary responsibilities include managing front office operations; coordinating graduate program administration and confidential records; maintaining departmental communications, including email, website, and social media; coordinating room reservations and special events; and serving as the department's liaison for information technology, office equipment, and administrative services. The position also supports office operations by coordinating visitor parking, ordering supplies, and ensuring efficient day-to-day departmental functions while providing exceptional customer service and maintaining confidentiality.

Performs other duties as assigned to successfully support departmental operations and strategic objectives.
