Overview:
Auburn Athletics is excited to begin the search for a Lifeguard to oversee the safety of pool patrons! The facility is open daily to the public for use and is also utilized by various student groups and local clubs. Lifeguards provide safety and oversight for all activities in the facility and respond to any emergencies. They also assist with other operational duties such as guest check-in, event set-up/breakdown and clean up.
About Auburn Aquatics: James E. Martin Aquatics Center is located between Beard-Eaves Coliseum and the Student Activities Center. It houses an Olympic-size pool with three moveable bulkheads which allow for variable distance competition and simultaneous diving as well as an instructional pool used for various classes.
Responsibilities:
- Oversee the safety of pool patrons while utilizing the facility
- Assist with set-up and breakdown for events
- Clean-up and light custodial duties
- Member/guest check-in
Qualifications:
- Enrolled student at Auburn University
- Current American Red Cross Lifeguard/First Aid/Certifications Please upload copy of certification with application
Expectations:
- Ability to work early mornings, nights, weekends. Summers and holiday breaks preferred
- Ability to swim 500 yards, treat water with diving brick for 1 min and retrieve object from bottom of diving well
Preferred:
- Previous life guarding experience
- Ability to work summers and breaks
Pay Range:
USD $11.50 - USD $11.50 /Hr.
