Position Overview
This position is responsible for managing day to day resources and services at the Coffman Memorial Union and St. Paul Student Center Student Group Resource Centers and working collaboratively with other Student Unions and Activities staff to propose and implement additional services for student groups and community building within our spaces. The Student Group Resource Center in the Coffman Memorial Union opened in January 2023 and the St. Paul Student Center location opened in Fall 2023. A key part of this role will be continuing to launch services, as well as assessing function and processes. Responsibilities will include providing support to general patrons of the Student Group Resource Center, student group support, promotion of our services, and student involvement opportunities. Works with their supervisor to support student staff, which may include evenings and weekends. This position reports to the Student Group Services - Program Manager.

Qualifications
Required Qualifications: Bachelor's degree plus at least two years of relevant experience, or a combination of education and experience to equal six years.
Preferred Qualifications: Knowledge or experience working with students in a student union or university environment. Knowledge or experience with student groups in a university environment. Candidates must demonstrate excellent written and oral communication skills, creative problem solving, and relationship building capacity, along with a strong customer service orientation. Knowledge or experience supporting or leading Diversity, Equity, Inclusion, or Justice efforts.

About the Department
Student Unions & Activities (SUA) is a department within the Office of the Vice President for Student Affairs at the University of Minnesota. SUA operates three facilities: Coffman Memorial Union on the East Bank campus, services within the West Bank Skyway, and the St. Paul Student Center. The department has a total of 65 fulltime staff, representing all employee groups except faculty, and approximately 200 student employees.
SUA's mission is to provide a variety of programs and services to the University community that enhance the social, educational, and cultural environment of the University of Minnesota. These services include student basic needs support, facility rental, entertainment and educational programs, oversight of student activities, and support for a diverse array of student groups. Pay and Benefits
Pay Range: $49,250 - $52,600 per year; depending on education/qualifications/experience
