Job Title:Student Employment: Keefe Community Center Community Services Assistant
Department:Office of Community Service
Student Employment Type:Federal Work-Study
Responsibilities:• Assist in planning, organizing and administering social service programs, which includes event planning and management, referring community members for emergency assistance, employment, food, recreation and shelter.
• Assist with other programs and activities within a multipurpose intergenerational community center including health and job fairs and toy and food drives during the holidays.
• Performs various specialized work according to assessment of needs of the community. Assignments are usually performed with general instructions, guidance and minimal supervision.
Qualifications:

• Excellent interpersonal skills
• Strong oral and written communication skills
• Proficient with Microsoft Office including, Word, Excel and Outlook
• The ability to deal effectively with town and state officials and members of the public is essential.
• Telephone etiquette a must.
• Ability to work independently

Hours of Position:
  • The Keefe Community Center operates M-F 8:30am-4:30pm.  Applicants must be able to work at least 4 hours per week during the time that the Center is open. There are 2 openings for 6-8 hours per week Monday –Friday between the hours of 8:30am-4:30pm.  Flexible work schedule. Ideal work hours would fall 9am and 3:30pm
