ECU Department of Student Development - Student-Athlete Academic Services is currently seeking several academic tutors.

  • Tutors provide academic support to ECU student-athletes, as assigned by the tutor coordinator, based on specific courses they list on their application.
  • The main role of the tutor is to provide clarification and supplementation to enhance a student's understanding.

The Student-Athlete Academic Services' Tutor program staff is selected from among the top students at ECU, who undergo a structured training program to ensure that the highest quality of services are provided, resulting in many successful experiences for all involved.

GPA Requirement Preferred (Majors, Experience, GPA, etc.)

For hiring consideration, applicants must:

  • Have a 3.2 or above cumulative ECU GPA
  • Have a minimum of 30 completed college credits (including AP & dual enrollment credits populated on ECU transcript)
  • Be able to serve as an academic and personal role model
  • All applicants must be enrolled ECU students.
