The role offers hands-on experience in implementing cloud security practices and maintaining secure access to cloud-based systems that support the universitys operations. As a valued team member, you will gain practical knowledge in cloud technologies, collaborate with IT professionals, and contribute meaningfully to the security and documentation of critical information systems.
Nature & Purpose of Position
Responsibilities include:
• Cloud Security & Access Management • Assist in implementing and verifying security controls. • Support password management, permissions updates, and user access in line with security policies.
• System Documentation & Knowledge Sharing • Create clear documentation for permissions management role updates and user lifecycle processes. • Ensure information is easy for others to follow and aligned with compliance standards.
• Security Awareness & Training • Complete cybersecurity training modules to build foundational security knowledge. • Apply learned concepts when working with system owners and cloud platforms.
• Client Engagement & Collaboration • Work directly with system owners to understand their environments. • Document system configurations, security practices, and recommend improvements.
• Contribute to Security Initiatives • Participate in compliance efforts for cloud applications. • Assist the team with audits, reviews, and reporting.
Additional Duties Support team projects as needed.
